Who would write an entire post about cabinet hardware? This lady! Here we go, get excited.
Immediately after moving in I painted the few exiting kitchen cabinets white and spray painted all the hardware oil rubbed bronze. I really loved the look of the dark hardware against white cabinets, but since we decided on the two-tone look for the new cabinets, I felt there was not enough contrast between dark ORB hardware and dark wood lower cabinets. So the search for suitable hardware that would complement both cabinets began. While obsessively browsing the HD (great place for buying hardware that won’t force you into the poor house), I spotted these knobs in a distressed silver finish. They have some little scaratches and black patina. They look great next to the bright white and the dark cherry. Proof below:
I wanted knobs for the cabinets and bin pulls for the drawers. But the HD gods can only be so kind and I did not find any pulls to my liking in my new favorite finish. Luckily, I found these bin pulls at the showroom where we bought our cabinets.
We have stainless steel appliances and the hardware looks great with them as well. More proof:
That wraps up the hardware. I’m off to finish painting the original cabinet doors, fixing our labor day disaster.
